Haisten Music Studio

I have loved music my entire life. I grew up in a very small farming community in Farwell, Texas. Our neighbors were not only friends, but often family. My grandparents hosted "singings" in their home on a regular basis. Anyone who could play an instrument, brought it. Those who couldn't play, sang. I remember sitting on the floor at my grandmother's feet, listening to the most beautiful voices fill up the room, like an angelic choir in perfect harmony.  Musicians played piano, guitar, fiddle, banjo, etc.  As I sat and listened, my soul tasted the wonderful flavor of music. I was hooked, especially on the piano. I was amazed at how the piano could produce all of those exciting sounds. I wanted to produce those sounds. I was in love. I was in love with the piano. I was in love with the way the piano came alive when my aunt or uncle played. Yes, I was hooked from the age of a preschooler.  I'm still hooked.

My parents invested in a piano a few years later. My parents invested in ME. They were always supportive and encouraging. I took lessons until I went off to college. I cannot begin to thank my parents enough for the gift of music lessons. Music lessons teach hard work, perseverance, discipline, creativity, artistic expression, technique, theory, composers, composing, ear training, repertoire, and different genres.

I continue to play daily and serve as the pianist in the church where I attend with my family.  I hope you will decide to invest in music lessons and invest in the next generation of musicians. Have a wonderful day and look for the beauty that surrounds you!

Sincerely,

Twila Haisten
